Who is Weedy?
Weedy AKA David Trood is a prize-winning travel and commercial photographer who pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling. His passionate narrative of people and nature, shines through in his YouTube channel -The Weedy Garden.
During lockdown in March 2020, like many other people on the planet, I was stuck at home. This ended up being a good thing. It gave me the opportunity to build the dream of MY life, a garden of self sufficiency, full of wonderful, colourful, natural, clean organic food that I grow myself.
I dreamt of a paradise where I could live to be 100 years old, far away from any town, and ever further from a city. I would be living WITH the land, and following the ethics of PERMACULTURE.
I was given the prestigious title of Hasselblad Master in 2006, and for over three decades I have successfully completed thousands of editorial, corporate, and commercial assignments in over 40 countries.
The Weedy Garden is now where I spend my time, and consider this to be the best location I have worked in my thirty five years as a professional photographer and film maker. I take daily joy in sharing the permaculture journey with you through my lenses.
